Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
Steven Roth is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Roth has been Chairman of the Board since May 1981. He was the Chief Executive Officer from May 1981 through May 2009 and was reappointed on April 15, 2013.
Mr. Roth is the co-founder and Managing General Partner of Interstate Properties and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alexander's Inc. From 2011 until September 2013, Mr. Roth was a director of J. C. Penney Company, Inc. In addition, from 2005 until February 2011, Mr. Roth was a director of Toys "R" Us, Inc.
Barron's Magazine, in its March 2005, 2006 and 2007 issues named Mr. Roth one of the World's Thirty Most Respected CEO's. In its January 2006 issue on the Best CEO's in America, Institutional Investor magazine designated Mr. Roth as the top CEO in the REIT industry. Mr. Roth was the 2002 - 2003 Chair of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). Mr. Roth is a Trustee of Dartmouth College and from 1981 through 1987, he served on the Board of the Amos Tuck School, including endowing a professorship there and was the principal donor to the Roth Center for Jewish Life at Dartmouth. He is currently a Trustee of the Intrepid Museum Foundation.
Mr. Roth is a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx. He received his AB degree from Dartmouth College and an MBS degree with Highest Distinction from Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business Administration.
David R. Greenbaum
President of the New York Division
David R. Greenbaum is President of the New York Division of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Greenbaum, a former tax attorney at Weil Gotshal & Manges, joined The Mendik Company in 1982, a private owner of commercial real estate properties in New York City. Mr. Greenbaum was named President of The Mendik Company in 1990. In 1997, The Mendik Company merged into Vornado Realty Trust.
Mr. Greenbaum is a Trustee and member of the Executive Committee of the Citizens Budget Commission, a private watch-dog organization which oversees the City's and State's fiscal policies. Mr. Greenbaum is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York, a member of the Realty Advisory Board and serves on the Board of Directors for the 34th Street Partnership, The Grand Central Partnership and the Times Square Alliance, all public/private efforts to enhance New York's mid-town business districts. Mr. Greenbaum is also a member of the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate Advisory Board.
Mr. Greenbaum was selected by the New York City Partnership to participate in the David Rockefeller Fellows Program. Mr. Greenbaum also serves on the Boards of the Jewish National Fund as a Presidential Advisor, the Jewish Guild for the Blind- and the Jeffery Modell Foundation. Mr. Greenbaum is the 2010 recipient of The Real Estate Board of New York Bernard H. Mendik Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr. Greenbaum earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and his JD degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
Mitchell N. Schear
President of the Washington, DC Division
Mitchell N. Schear is the President of Vornado/Charles E. Smith. He directs the performance and growth of Vornado's extensive 20+ million square foot portfolio in the Washington DC region.
Prior to joining Vornado in April 2003, Mr. Schear spent 15 years at The Kaempfer Company, where, as President, he oversaw all of the company's development, leasing, and management activities.
Mr. Schear has served on a number of boards on behalf of the real estate industry and the community, including: The Washington Convention and Sports Authority, Executive Committee member of the Federal City Council, the Downtown DC Business Improvement District, the Corporate Board of Arena Stage, Higher Achievement, Theatre Washington, the Field School, and the Lowell School.
In 2007, Mr. Schear was recognized by the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) with its highest honor, the Achievement Award. In 2011, Mr. Schear was honored by Higher Achievement Metro Washington with the Gannon Achievement Award for his leadership and commitment to helping at-risk youth excel and succeed. In 2015, Mr. Schear was honored by Transwestern as the Public Company Trendsetter of the Year in recognition of his legacy of innovation, quality and many contributions to the Washington community.
Mr. Schear has a B.A. from Hobart College, and earned his MBA at the George Washington University.
Michael J. Franco
Executive Vice President - Chief Investment Officer
Michael J. Franco is Executive Vice President - Chief Investment Officer of Vornado Realty Trust, overseeing acquisitions, dispositions and capital markets activity for the Company.
Mr. Franco joined Vornado in 2010 as Co-Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets from Morgan Stanley, where he was a Managing Director and served as Head of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (MSREF) in the U.S., its flagship real estate investment opportunity fund. During his 20-year tenure with Morgan Stanley, he played an integral role in the development and growth of its real estate investing platform and led many of its most significant investments in the U.S. Over the course of his career, he has acquired over $20 billion of real estate, including non-performing loan portfolios from the RTC and private banks, several public REITs, and a wide variety of commercial and residential properties. He is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and is also involved in several private civic organizations.
Mr. Franco graduated cum laude from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Concentration in Finance.
Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer & Chief Administrative Officer
Joseph Macnow is Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Macnow is a 36 year veteran of the Company, serving as Chief Financial Officer from 1981 to 2013, when he became Chief Administrative Officer. In February 2017, Mr. Macnow resumed the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Vornado, Mr. Macnow was employed as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of City Stores Company. Prior to joining City Stores Company, Mr. Macnow was an Audit Manager with the international public accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute.
Mr. Macnow participates in Baruch College's Executives on Campus program and is a member of The Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute's Advisory Board at Baruch and Baruch's 17 Lex Society. In 2012, Mr. Macnow was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Baruch College. He is the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2005. Also in 2005, the Bergen Museum of Art & Science named Mr. Macnow the Museum's Person of the Year.
Mr. Macnow earned his BBA from the City College of New York, Baruch School of Public and Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. He continued his education at Baruch and at the University of Southern California, completing all course work required for receiving the Degree of Master of Business Administration.
Stephen W. Theriot
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen W. Theriot is Chief Financial Officer of Vornado Realty Trust and is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and tax activities of the Company. Mr. Theriot joined Vornado in June 2013 after 30 years at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he was a Partner and most recently served as the leader of Deloitte’s Northeast Real Estate practice.
Mr. Theriot earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Glen J. Weiss
Executive Vice President Leasing - New York Office
Glen J. Weiss is Executive Vice President Leasing – New York Office of Vornado Realty Trust and has served in this capacity since 2007. Mr. Weiss oversees leasing activity in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, including Vornado’s 25 million square foot Manhattan office portfolio, the 3.6 million square feet at theMART in Chicago and the 1.8 million square foot 555 California Street complex in San Francisco.
Mr. Weiss manages a leasing team of both internal and external brokers, overseeing the negotiation of large-scale leasing transactions often involving hundreds of thousands of square feet. Among the major office headquarters leases his team has recently completed are:

- Facebook at 770 Broadway
- Google/Motorola Mobility at The Mart in Chicago

Mr. Weiss began his real estate career with the Mendik Company in 1986 as a 16 year-old Summer Porter at 11 Penn Plaza and continued with Mendik as an intern through high school and college. In 1992, Mendik appointed him as an Assistant Building Manager and he went on to become Building Manager at 1740 Broadway and 11 Penn Plaza. In 1998, he transitioned to leasing following Vornado Realty Trust’s acquisition of Mendik.
Mr. Weiss was 2010 Chairman of the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York Seminar Committee, received the 2010 New York Cares Corporate Community Outreach Award, the 2012 Big Brothers Big Sisters Real Estate Honoree and the 2014 REBNY Young Person of the Year.
Mr. Weiss earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware and his MBA from Pace University.
Barry S. Langer
Executive Vice President Development - New York
Barry S. Langer is Executive Vice President, Development – New York of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Langer oversees development involving Vornado’s extensive portfolio of New York office, retail, residential and mixed-use properties.
Prior to joining Vornado in 2003, Mr. Langer was a Development Associate at Boston Properties in New York where he worked on the development of Times Square Tower and 5 Times Square.
Mr. Langer is currently involved in several of Vornado’s most significant projects, including:
- 220 Central Park South – a super-tall luxury residential condominium tower currently under construction across from the southern border of Central Park
- 1535 Broadway - the development of the block front at the base of the Marriott Marquis in Times Square into world-class retail space, including the world’s largest LED sign
- Penn Plaza – Vornado's efforts to reposition the Penn Plaza district where it is the largest owner of commercial real estate in the area with 9 million square feet
He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Real Estate Board of New York, and was named a David Rockefeller Fellow by the Partnership for New York City in 2008.
Mr. Langer holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development degree from Columbia University.
Edward P. Hogan
Executive Vice President - Head of Retail Leasing
Edward P. Hogan, Jr. is Executive Vice President - Head of Retail Leasing of Vornado Realty Trust and has served in this capacity since May 2015. Mr. Hogan oversees the leasing activity for Vornado’s New York Street Retail portfolio. The portfolio includes over 3.0 million square feet in street retail concentrated in Manhattan's dominant shopping streets and districts.
Prior to joining Vornado in May of 2015, Mr. Hogan spent 20 years working for Brookfield Properties. He most recently was Head of Retail and created and leased Brookfield Place, a 330,000 SF luxury retail shopping venue in Downtown New York.
Mr. Hogan has leased over 4 million square feet to such brands as Hermes, Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Saks Fifth Avenue. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute and the American Institute of Architects.
Mr. Hogan earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Masters of Architecture at the University of Illinois, Chicago and a Masters in Real Estate Finance from New York University.
James E. Creedon
Executive Vice President Leasing - Washington, DC
James E. Creedon is Executive Vice President Leasing of the Washington DC Division of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Creedon, a 31 year veteran of the Washington, D.C. commercial real estate market, is responsible for leasing Vornado’s Virginia portfolio of 13.5 million square feet of space.
Large deals he has completed include the Bureau of National Affairs (280,000 square feet), the National Cooperative Bank (86,000 square feet), Conservation International (85,000 square feet), and the Smithsonian Institution (55,000 square feet).
Mr. Creedon started his real estate career at the Coldwell Banker Commercial Washington, DC office in 1984, and joined Charles E. Smith Commercial Realty (now Vornado) in 1988. He serves on the Board of Directors of NAIOP (Northern Virginia Chapter) and is an active member of CoreNet and the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors.
Mr. Creedon attended George Washington University where he studied Economics.
Executive Vice President - Chief Information Officer
Robert Entin is Executive Vice President - Chief Information Officer of Vornado Realty Trust, overseeing all information technology initiatives of the Company. Mr. Entin joined the firm in 2005 as a Senior Vice President and became Executive Vice President in 2013.
Prior to Vornado, Mr. Entin founded Integrated Business Systems, Inc. in Clifton, NJ in 1979. He combined technical engineering expertise with accounting and property management experience to provide turnkey technology solutions for the real estate industry. IBS became one of the acknowledged leaders in the real estate industry, dominant in the New York region. In 2013, a portion of the IBS organization joined Vornado.
His roles throughout the years have placed him in the unique position of being both designer and user. He has authored many articles and frequently serves as an expert source on real estate technology and emerging trends. Mr. Entin is a member of the Realcomm Advisory Council and served as the Co-Chair at the Realcomm National Conference in 2015.
Mr. Entin currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University where he teaches a master’s course in IT & The Real Estate Enterprise, a course he previously taught at Baruch College in New York City.
Mr. Entin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from The Moore School of Electrical Engineering at The University of Pennsylvania.
Executive Vice President - Head of Capital Markets
Mark Hudspeth is Executive Vice President - Head of Capital Markets of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Hudspeth joined Vornado in 2015 from Morgan Stanley, where he was a Managing Director and served as Head of Investment Finance responsible for all financings, hedging, insurance and investment level tax matters for the Merchant Banking & Real Estate Investing Division. He was previously Head of Capital Markets for the U.S. Real Estate Investing Division and served on numerous investment committees.
Earlier in his career at Morgan Stanley, he was a Portfolio Manager for a real estate mezzanine fund, as well as served as the Operations Officer for the Americas of the Real Estate Division. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Hudspeth was a consultant at KPMG in the Real Estate and Hospitality Practice.
Mr. Hudspeth graduated from Trinity College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Vice President - Chief Accounting Officer
Matthew Iocco is Executive Vice President - Chief Accounting Officer of Vornado Realty Trust and also serves as Vornado's Principal Accounting Officer for SEC reporting purposes. He is responsible for overseeing the Company’s accounting policy and procedures, financial reporting and financial administration.
Prior to joining Vornado in 1999, Mr. Iocco was a senior manager in Arthur Andersen’s Real Estate Services Group where he began his career in 1991. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Iocco is an active member of NAREIT and has been a panelist and roundtable host at past NAREIT conferences on various technical accounting and financial reporting topics.
Mr. Iocco has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fordham University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York.
Laurie H. Kramer
Executive Vice President Finance - Washington, DC
Laurie H. Kramer is Executive Vice President Finance of the Washington DC Division of Vornado Realty Trust. Ms. Kramer oversees and manages all large transactions in Washington related to leasing, development and joint venture structures. Ms. Kramer is a member of the four-person Executive team that directs the strategy, performance and growth of Vornado's extensive portfolio in the Washington, DC region.
Prior to joining Vornado in April 2003, Ms. Kramer spent 13 years at The Kaempfer Company in real estate development. Representative deals in the Washington area include: 800 17th Street, 1999 K Street, 2101 L Street, The Warner at 1299 Pennsylvania Avenue, The Bowen Building at 875 15th Street, The Investment Building at 1501 K Street, Waterfront Station, 2099 Pennsylvania Avenue, WestEnd25 at 1255 25th Street and 220 20th Street in Arlington, Virginia.
Ms. Kramer graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and studied for her MBA at George Washington University.
Executive Vice President - Financial Administration
Brian Kurtz is Executive Vice President - Financial Administration. Mr. Kurtz oversees 275 people in the company’s corporate administrative office in Paramus, NJ. Office Management functions for both the NY and NJ corporate offices also report to him as well as Human Resources for the Company.
Prior to joining Vornado Realty Trust in 1995, Mr. Kurtz was employed by Alexanders, Inc., an affiliate of Vornado, where he held various positions; his last as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer.
Chief Operating Officer - theMART
Myron Maurer is the Chief Operating Officer – theMART and is the senior executive responsible for all property operations and bottom line financial performance of the 3.6 million square foot asset. Included in his responsibilities is theMART’s tradeshow business based in Chicago with ancillary shows based in New York. Mr. Maurer also oversees the management of the Piers 92/94 tradeshow space on the Hudson River in Manhattan.
Mr. Maurer began his career at theMART in 1987 and has been involved with the company’s acquisitions and dispositions, LEED certifications, tradeshow launches, marketing, leasing and the management of more than $1.5B of new construction and renovation projects.
Mr. Maurer holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) and earned his MBA from Keller Graduate School.
Chief Financial Officer - New York Division
Thomas Sanelli is Chief Financial Officer - New York Division of Vornado Realty Trust.
Mr. Sanelli is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial matters and large transactions for Vornado’s office, street retail, residential and hotel properties located in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
Mr. Sanelli has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pace University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York.
Chief Operating Officer - New York
Gaston Silva is Chief Operating Officer - New York, a division of Vornado Realty Trust, where he oversees the management and operation of over 24 million square feet of commercial office space in Manhattan.
Mr. Silva serves as Chairman of the 34th Street Partnership, is the co-chair of the Real Estate Board of New York Management Division and is a board member of the New York Landmarks Preservation Foundation and BRIC Arts Media Brooklyn. While in city government he served in the administrations of Mayors Koch, Dinkins and Giuliani. As a practicing architect, Mr. Silva’s diverse assignments in New York City included the restoration of Carnegie Hall and the development of the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.
Mr. Silva graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a MA in Architecture from the same institution. He also received a Real Estate Diploma from the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University.
Craig S. Stern
Executive Vice President - Tax & Compliance
Craig S. Stern is Executive Vice President - Tax & Compliance of Vornado Realty Trust and is responsible for overseeing all tax compliance, reporting and structuring for the Company.
Prior to joining Vornado in 2002, Mr. Stern was a tax director at Deloitte & Touche's Real Estate Services Group.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Stern is an active member of NAREIT and has been a panelist and roundtable host at NAREIT conferences on various tax structuring and reporting topics.
Mr. Stern has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Queens College and a JD from New York Law School.
Patrick J. Tyrrell
Chief Operating Officer - Washington, DC
Patrick J. Tyrrell is the Chief Operating Officer of the Washington DC Division of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Tyrrell is responsible for overseeing the division's day-to-day operations. Mr. Tyrrell joined Vornado in April 2003 from the Kaempfer Company, where he also served as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Tyrrell has more than twenty years of experience in commercial real estate, including asset and property management, leasing and sales. Prior to joining the Kaempfer Company, Mr. Tyrrell was Director of Operations for the Mid-Atlantic Region for Insignia/ESG, where he was responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of Insignia’s three offices in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Mr. Tyrrell previously served as Operations Manager for Insignia’s Property Services Group. During a prior tenure with Kaempfer, Mr. Tyrrell served as a Senior Asset Manager, where he was responsible for the management and leasing of Kaempfer’s portfolio of Class A, downtown office space in Washington, D.C. He is currently Chair of BOMA’s National Advisory Council (NAC) and is a member of the Industry Advisory Board for the Virginia Tech Program in Real Estate.
Mr. Tyrrell graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Political Science and received his Master’s degree in International Affairs from George Washington University.
